The Henry S. Kaiser, Jr., Papers consist of more than 900 negatives depicting students, staff, faculty, buildings, and activities on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks in the years 1957-1960. The collection also includes 33 photographic prints and a small number of color transparencies depicting similar subjects, and several articles written by Henry S. Kaiser, Jr., and/or illustrated with his photographs.

Henry S. Kaiser, Jr. (b. 1932), was raised in Nenana, Alaska. He graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, in 1961 with a degree in education and went on to a career in teaching and work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Alaska. While a college student in Fairbanks, he documented campus activities as a photographer on the yearbook staff. After graduation he remained interested in photography and writing, and became a frequent contributor to various Alaskan publications. F...
